Care-Centered Accessibility Policy

1. Our Commitment

As a company committed to equality, we consider accessibility to be an essential component of social justice and inclusion.

Our approach is grounded in an intersectional perspective, recognizing that barriers to accessing information may vary depending on realities related to gender, identity, language, culture, socio-economic contexts, and more.

We therefore commit to:

●  promoting equitable access to information and our services;

●  integrating accessibility principles from the design stage of our digital tools;

●  contributing to reducing systemic and digital barriers;

●  continuously evolving based on feedback and expressed needs.

2. Inclusive Vision

We recognize that accessibility is not limited to technical aspects. It also includes:

●  cultural realities

●  linguistic diversity

●  situated knowledge and lived experiences

From this perspective, we aim to create a digital space that is respectful, inclusive, and accessible to all.

5. Legal Compliance and Normative Frameworks

We recognize the importance of aligning with legal and normative frameworks on accessibility, while adopting an evolving approach adapted to the size and nature of our organization.

In Canada and Quebec

We draw inspiration in particular from:

●  the Accessible Canada Act, which aims to identify, remove, and prevent accessibility barriers

●  the Act to secure handicapped persons in the exercise of their rights with a view to achieving social, school and workplace integration (Quebec), which frames obligations regarding inclusion and accessibility

●  government standards on digital accessibility

Although some legal obligations mainly apply to public bodies or larger organizations, we voluntarily choose to align with these principles as part of our social responsibility.

Internationally

We also refer to recognized international frameworks such as:

●  the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities

●  principles of equality and non-discrimination upheld in international human rights

instruments

●  global best practices in digital accessibility

These references support our intention to situate our approach within a global perspective, consistent with our commitments to human rights and equality.

Accessibility is a shared responsibility and an evolving process.

We commit to:

●  regularly assessing the accessibility of our website

●  addressing identified barriers to the extent of our capacity
